On September 25, 2025, a program titled “Empowerment of Young Women and Engage Youth with Disabilities in Health Reform Efforts” was organized by Aparajeyo Tarunno (UYIP Project), Rajshahi.
The program was chaired by Md. Mamunur Rahman, Unit Manager of RH Step Rajshahi Unit. Md. Ashiqur Rahman, Assistant Director of the Youth Development Department, Rajshahi, attended as the chief guest. Md. Zahid Hasan, Coordinator of FPAB Rajshahi, was present as a special guest.
The event was conducted by Md. Faridul Islam, Youth Officer of Aparajeyo Tarunno, Rajshahi. At the beginning of the program, Dipti Sarkar, Project Officer of Aparajeyo Tarunno, Rajshahi, delivered a welcome speech.
Later, Youth Officer Md. Faridul Islam presented a detailed PowerPoint outlining the empowerment of young women, health rights of disabled youth, barriers to accessing healthcare, and suggested measures to address these challenges.
During the open discussion, participants shared their real-life problems and expectations. A group work session was also conducted in which participants provided their opinions and recommendations in writing.
The guests emphasized the importance of young women’s education, economic self-reliance, and social leadership. They also called for collective efforts to raise health awareness among disabled youth, ensure equal rights in services, and develop inclusive policies.
Chairman Md. Mamunur Rahman declared the program successfully concluded.
