On September 24, 2025, an awareness theater performance titled “Theatre for SRHR – New Life in the Light of Light” was held at Khalishpur People’s Square under the auspices of UYP Khulna Center.The play, which was performed in front of an audience of about 200 people, presented various realistic films on women’s health awareness, child marriage and age-related problems. The play not only attracted the audience but also made them think. At the end of the performance, the audience asked questions which were answered by the theatre staff. In this question-answer session, concerns, safety and awareness of adolescents in particular came up for discussion.
Community leader of Khulna People’s Jute Mill Colony, Ahmed Rubel, and community leader of Khalishpur Colony, Mohammad Uzzal, were present at the event. In their remarks, the guests described such cultural events as a positive and impactful initiative for adolescents and called for organizing such activities on a regular basis.
At the end of the program, after the question-answer and feedback of the guests, Project Officer Sujoy Chowdhury gave the closing speech and announced the end of the awareness-based theater.
